Overview

Ardent Eagle Solutions is seeking a Contracts Specialist II to provide cradle-to-grave acquisition and contract administration support for a federal customer. The successful candidate will assist Contracting Officers and program offices throughout the acquisition lifecycle by supporting pre-award planning, solicitation development, proposal evaluation, contract award, and post-award administration while ensuring compliance with applicable federal acquisition regulations, agency policies, and procurement procedures.

Background

The Contracts Specialist II serves as a key member of the acquisition team, providing professional contracting support for a diverse portfolio of federal procurement actions. This position partners with Contracting Officers, program managers, and stakeholders to facilitate compliant, timely, and efficient acquisition activities while maintaining complete and accurate contract documentation throughout the procurement lifecycle.

Responsibilities
  • Provide cradle-to-grave acquisition support for assigned contracts, task orders, and purchase orders.
  • Assist with acquisition planning activities, market research, and procurement strategy development.
  • Research applicable acquisition regulations, policies, and procedures to support procurement actions.
  • Develop and prepare solicitation documents, including Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), Invitations for Bid (IFBs), combined synopsis/solicitations, determinations and findings, memoranda, and associated acquisition documentation.
  • Prepare solicitation notices and procurement announcements utilizing appropriate federal procurement systems and contract vehicles.
  • Support small business coordination activities, including preparation of SBA 8(a) documentation and required system submissions.
  • Coordinate with Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) providers and servicing agencies as required.
  • Assist with pre-proposal conferences, industry communications, and acquisition meetings.
  • Support technical and past performance evaluations while assisting with proposal scoring, documentation, and source selection activities.
  • Prepare business and price analyses, negotiation documentation, award packages, debriefing materials, and procurement reports.
  • Assist with contract award processing, contract modifications, option exercises, de-obligations, and contract closeout activities.
  • Maintain complete electronic contract files and ensure procurement documentation is organized, accurate, and submitted in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Respond to data calls and provide acquisition support to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of five (5) years of cradle-to-grave federal contracting experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting pre-award, award, and post-award acquisition activities.
  • Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and federal procurement processes.
  • Experience preparing acquisition documentation, contract modifications, procurement reports, and contract files.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple procurement actions simultaneously.
  • Previous ICE (Integrated Contracts Expert) experience preferred.
Education

Requires BS/BA degree in related field (or equivalent).

Certification(s)

Current or previous FAC-C Certification (or civilian equivalent) required.

Compensation

Anticipated Salary Range: $70,000 - $125,000 annually

Actual compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate's experience, qualifications, certifications, and other business considerations.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Location and Work Hours

Work Location: Fully Remote (Headquartered in Atlanta, GA)

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, Regular Business Hours
