Job description

We help customers bring products to market safely, reliably, and efficiently by providing a broad range of testing solutions across aerospace, defense, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor, consumer products, and other highly regulated industries.As we continue to expand our presence across the Pacific Northwest, we are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growth, build strategic customer relationships, and develop new business opportunities throughout key regional markets.

This role is ideal for a highly motivated sales professional who enjoys building relationships, uncovering customer needs, and creating opportunities in underdeveloped markets. While experience in laboratory testing or technical services is welcome, success in this position is driven primarily by strong business development skills, customer engagement, and the ability to consistently win new business.

The successful candidate will work closely with operations, technical experts, and leadership teams to help customers understand how Element's testing capabilities can support their business objectives.

Salary: $110,000-$145,000/yr DOE

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute territory sales plans focused on revenue growth and market expansion
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new logo opportunities across targeted industries
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers
  • Conduct customer meetings, presentations, and business reviews
  • Create and manage a robust sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, referrals, and market outreach
  • Collaborate with technical and operational teams to develop customer solutions and proposals
  • Maintain accurate sales activity, opportunity tracking, and forecasting within CRM systems
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities
  • Represent Element at customer events, industry conferences, and networking opportunities
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure an exceptional customer experience throughout the sales process
Skills / QualificationsRequired Experience
  • Proven success in business development, territory sales, or outside sales roles
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business and win new customers
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline and driving revenue growth
  • Strong customer-facing, presentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
  • Self-motivated, curious, and driven to learn new industries and solutions
Preferred Experience
  • Experience selling technical services, industrial solutions, manufacturing-related products, or business services
  • Exposure to aerospace, defense, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor, consumer products, or related industries
  • Existing relationships within target regional markets
