ABOUT THE TEAM

We are seeking a Senior Analyst, Government Rates to join our dynamic, fast-growing Finance team. Our team is dedicated to financial excellence, leveraging cutting-edge technology to maintain compliance and drive efficiency across our accounting structure practices which impact our government contracts as well as financial management. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting our scaling operations, ensuring robust compliance, and shaping the future of our financial systems.

ABOUT THE JOB

As the Senior Analyst, Government Rates, you will serve as a key driver of our government finance operations. This role sits at the intersection of compliance, financial strategy, and technology. You will conduct sophisticated indirect rate modeling, detailed variance analyses, and drive impact communications for external and internal customers.

Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in modernizing our workflows by identifying automation opportunities and utilizing AI tools like Claude to streamline compliance and reporting. A successful candidate will be highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and eager to drive both regulatory excellence (supporting DCAA/DCMA audits, Forward Pricing, and Incurred Cost Proposals) and operational innovation.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Drive Automation & AI Innovation: Identify, design, and implement automated workflows utilizing Claude to streamline complex financial processes, analyze FAR/DFARS compliance guidelines, and accelerate data extraction from large contract datasets.
  • Optimize Compliance Workflows: Leverage Claude and other advanced prompting/AI tools to automate routine compliance reporting, summarize regulatory updates, and draft formal policy and procedure documentation.
  • Indirect Rate Development: Conduct in-depth analysis and modeling to support the development of indirect rates across multiple business units for both strategic internal planning and external compliance.
  • Audit & Proposal Support: Support the preparation and audit of Forward Pricing Rate Proposals (FPRP) and Incurred Cost Proposals (ICP).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with FP&A, Pricing, Accounting, and Business Operations to identify process inefficiencies, implement corrective actions, and support ad-hoc financial projects.
  • Impact Analysis: Conduct detailed evaluations of accounting changes, assessing their impact on rate structures and government submissions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related quantitative field.
  • 3+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience, with at least 1 year focused on government contracting, project accounting, or indirect rate analysis.
  • Some knowledge and practical application of FAR, DFARS, and CAS.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities with a high level of accuracy; expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, and modeling) and/or AI tools.
  • Proven ability to work multiple projects, prioritize deliverable timelines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity with a passion for learning new tools, systems, and advanced financial concepts.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to requirements for accessing U.S. export-controlled information and facilities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Direct experience or strong interest in leveraging Generative AI tools (such as Claude/ChatGPT) for data analysis, document summarization, or process automation.
  • Familiarity with government accounting systems and enterprise ERP/reporting tools (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, Oracle, Hyperion, Smartview).
