Job Summary: Supports general dealership operations by assisting with daily tasks that help maintain an organized, clean, and customer-ready environment. This role helps keep vehicles clean and properly placed, shuttles customers, and moves vehicles safely between locations and vendors. Availability for evenings and weekends may be required.

Each responsibility is listed below. Some tasks are ongoing throughout the day.

Lot & Vehicle Duties

  • Perform opening duties, including placing keys in vehicles and ensuring they are properly tagged.
  • Ensure all available vehicles are placed on the lot in the correct locations.
  • Move vehicles to fill gaps, line up rows, and maintain a clean, organized lot appearance.
  • Check fuel levels and ensure retail units are adequately gassed.
  • Sweep and remove trash from the lot as needed.
  • Move trade-ins to the appropriate locations.
  • Address problem vehicles (jump-starting, moving to Service, etc.).
  • Install stickers, pricing labels, plates, and frames on vehicles as directed.
  • Prepare vehicles for customer delivery following established procedures.
  • Transport vehicles to and from vendors, other dealerships, or auction locations as assigned.

Customer Support

  • Shuttle customers to and from the dealership when needed.
  • Ensure sold vehicle deliveries are handled with care, urgency, and attention to detail.

Vehicle Cleanliness & Presentation

  • Assist with daily checks of retail inventory to ensure vehicles are clean, spaced properly, and ready for customer viewing.
  • Keep wholesale units in the designated area for timely pickup.
  • Support the reconditioning process by assisting with vehicle movement, drop-offs, and pickups.

Service Wash Support

  • Help ensure service wash operations are functioning smoothly by checking wash cleanliness and reporting any issues with equipment.

New & Used Vehicle Support

  • Assist with the check-in process for new vehicles, including writing up units and reporting damage when required.
  • Help with used vehicle tasks such as reviewing units as requested, writing service/detail POs, and assisting with timely lot placement.

Facilities Support

  • Perform basic groundskeeping tasks such as mowing, trimming, weed control, and general cleanup to maintain a clean dealership appearance.
  • Assist with snow removal efforts by moving vehicles, clearing walkways, and salting sidewalks as directed.
  • Help with building maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, bathroom batteries, and HVAC filters as assigned.

Skills Required

  • Ability to perform all essential duties safely and accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license.
  • Clean driving record.
