Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, or 5 years with advanced degree.
  • Experience in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across multiple levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

About the job
As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you'll open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions and evaluate/develop business opportunities. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide thought leadership and serve as a mentor to managers and associates. You are comfortable escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management. You'll work closely with Google Product, Engineering, Legal and Sales teams on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships that support our online advertising business.
Google Wallet's goal is to create a secure and helpful digital wallet for users, becoming a differentiated and essential part of daily life, both online and offline, and across surfaces. Our team is responsible for the product and growth partnerships that enable Wallet's many high-impact use cases, spanning transit, loyalty, health, events, digital identity, health, and more, for Google users globally.
In this role, you will have experience scaling high-frequency everyday use cases and digital credentialing, the flexibility to try solutions, adapt, and quickly course-correct, working across multiple product areas within Google, fluency with agreement negotiations, and representing Google with C-level executives across partner organizations. This position demands strategic thought leadership, tight cross-functional collaboration, people skills, independent execution, and an understanding of the Android and Wallet ecosystems.
The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google's Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google's own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google's user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities
  • Lead business development and go-to-market efforts that help scale the Google Wallet product and ecosystem. Expand Google Wallet's transit footprint and ridership by advocating strategic initiatives and launches with key transit authorities and partners. Manage the physical access portfolio, driving ecosystem adoption for use cases like Corporate Badges, Campus IDs, Hotel Keys, and Residential Access.
  • Lead the entire partner lifecycle, from initial business development and negotiation to long-term partner management and market optimization.
  • Develop and execute on go-to-market strategies to establish emerging products, prospecting for new opportunities, conducting partner/industry research, and collaborating on product strategy.
  • Drive successful agreement integration by pitching to partners, finalizing agreements, executing account plans, and advocating for partner needs.
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization (Product, Engineering, Legal, and other cross-functional teams) to define, refine, and execute our US strategy.
