Job description

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Part-Time Office Administrator to manage the daily business operations of our new homemaker companion agency. You will serve as the backbone of our office, handling compliance, billing, client files, and general inquiries while ensuring our business stays fully compliant with local state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain secure and strictly compliant electronic and physical files for clients and caregivers.
  • Process weekly or bi-weekly billing, invoicing, and basic payroll administrative support.
  • Answer incoming calls from prospective clients, family members, and inquiring caregivers.
  • Assist the owner in onboarding new hires, running background checks, and verifying credentials.
  • Monitor office supplies and handle general administrative and clerical correspondence.

Required Qualifications & Certifications:

  • Certified Medical Office Administrator (CMOA) or a degree/certification in Business Administration / Healthcare Administration is highly appreciated / not required
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of administrative experience, ideally within a home care agency, assisted living facility, or medical office.
  • Proficiency with home care management software, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and written communication skills.
  • Must pass a comprehensive criminal background check (Level 2 fingerprinting, if required by your state).
