Overview
**Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for employer sponsorship, now or in the future.**
This is a full-time, hands-on, senior-level position requiring expert knowledge and experience designing and managing all aspects of a typical business technology stack, particularly in the small-to-medium sized business market. Focus is mostly on Microsoft-based applications and technology, but also includes day-to-day support of ancillary technology, including cloud, phone, storage, and virtualization platforms.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated hands-on experience, knowledge, and expertise in not only technology, but also consulting with an outward mindset for small-to-medium sized businesses. You will foster the client relationship, own the environment, guide decision-making, propose & execute projects, and help drive growth for multiple clients, simultaneously. Business Network Consulting has been supporting the entire IT infrastructure of businesses in the Denver, Dallas, and Austin areas since 1997. This is a fast-paced environment, and those who join the team will have a very strong personal drive to succeed, be able to operate independently while also working within a structured system and be directly rewarded for their efforts.
Responsibilities
  • Project management - be well-organized, craft timelines and deliverables and communicate clearly to clients. Possess the ability to juggle multiple priorities at once through our project management system.
  • Be consultative - identify areas to improve our clients' systems and infrastructure (upgrades to hardware, software, and network). Pitch solutions to clients from proposal to implementation phases.
  • Serve as the main IT resource for assigned clients in the Denver metro area.
  • Provide clear and sound advice to clients, acting as a true partner to their business.
  • Support servers, networks, desktops, laptops both onsite and remote.
  • Design, implement and manage new installations and migrations.
  • Manage system and/or network issues to resolution in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Be an advanced leader - and lead by example. Regularly offer support and assistance to other members of the BNC team.
  • Assist with onboarding new engineers to the BNC team.

Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of consulting experience, balancing multiple clients, preferably in the SMB space.
  • 5+ years serving in a senior engineer role.
  • 5+ years of experience with multiple Microsoft technologies, including Office365, Exchange, Azure, Entra, Intune, etc.
  • 5+ years of advanced virtualization experience (preferably in VMWare).
  • 5+ years of network design & optimization, including enterprise-grade switches, firewalls & routers.
  • Extensive experience in one or more cloud-based technologies (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS)
  • Demonstrated experience in BNC's core areas of expertise. Typical project engagements include: security compromise & system breach prevention/remediation, cloud migrations, physical to virtual conversions, on-prem to Office 365 conversions, disaster recovery and business continuity design & build-out, infrastructure refreshes, network creation & optimization, among others.

  • Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, Azure Admin Certifications (ex - AZ-104) MCP, MCSE, CompTIA Sec+, A+, Net+
  • Platforms/Software: MacOS, SQL, Google Workspace, RMM tools, ConnectWise,

Total Comp Range
$100,000.00 to $130,000 plus benefits and growth potential
