As anInvestment Operations Analyst - Trade Support, you'll play a key role in supporting Ridgeline customers by managing critical post-trade operations, including trade support, settlement, allocations, and exception management. You'll ensure trades are processed accurately through the full trade lifecycle, resolve operational issues before end of day, and partner closely with customers and internal teams to continuously improve workflows. You'll also help bridge customer operations and product innovation by identifying automation opportunities and leveraging cutting-edge technology, including AI tools such as ChatGPT, to build more efficient, scalable investment operations.
This role follows a 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM PT schedule to provide end-of-day trade support for our customers.

The impact you will have:
  • Account Administration - Manage new account setups, maintenance updates, and portfolio group terminations as directed by customers.
  • Investment Accounting - Execute financial transaction recording on a trade-date basis, oversee income/expense accruals, and facilitate period-end close processes.
  • Trade Support & Settlement - Coordinate post-trade workflows including broker communication, CTM matching, confirmations, and allocations to ensure accurate T+1 settlement.
  • Corporate Actions - Oversee mandatory and voluntary corporate actions, ensuring all activity is reconciled through rigorous standard controls.
  • Data Management - Administer daily pricing, FX rates, and security master data, resolving vendor exceptions in compliance with customer policies.
  • Reconciliation - Conduct daily reconciliations of positions, cash, and tax lots; proactively research and document the resolution of breaks.
  • Performance Reporting - Deliver daily and monthly performance analytics ensuring GIPS compliance and addressing complex return inquiries.
  • Client Success - Investigate operational inquiries and surface data-driven insights to enhance both customer outcomes and platform functionality.
  • Operational Innovation - Leverage AI/ML and automation to design scalable workflows and streamline manual processes.

What we look for:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in investment operations or a related middle/back-office function.
  • Familiarity with portfolio accounting, reconciliation, performance reporting, and trade lifecycle management.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and timeliness.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve breaks and exceptions independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with customers and internal teams.
  • Proficiency with Google Apps or MS Office, especially spreadsheets.
  • Curiosity about new technologies, including AI-driven tools, and willingness to learn.

Bonus:
  • Experience with enterprise SaaS or fintech platforms.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Slack, JIRA, Confluence, or Kantata.
  • Exposure to APIs, AWS, or other cloud-based architectures.
  • CFA or CPA designation (or progress towards one).

Compensation and Benefits
The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below. In select locations (including, the San Francisco Bay Area, CA, and the New York City Metro Area), an alternate range may apply as specified below.
The typical starting salary range for this role is: $92,500-$115,500.
The typical starting salary range for this role in the select locations listed above is: $101,500-$127,000.
Final compensation amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amount listed above.
