Job description

The SEO Coordinator position at Sokal is centered around supporting our winning SEO strategies for automotive businesses across the United States. Successful SEO Coordinators are:

Basic Functions & Scope
The SEO Team is responsible for optimizing our responsive websites with the goal of increasing our clients' organic presence in search engine results. The SEO Coordinator will focus on driving SEO improvement through month-over-month data analysis and task management, evaluating client and campaign performance while communicating results and strategies to the SEO and Account teams with the assistance of colleagues within the SEO Team. Sokal provides each SEO Coordinator with a set of tools that give you the opportunity to develop your skillset.
On/Off Page Optimization
  • Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis
  • Conduct metadata optimizations
  • Google Business Profile management
  • Maintain, proof, and write efficient website content pages that properly utilize SEO best practices
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant SEO industry best practices while looking for ways to improve the overall effectiveness
SEO Reporting and Analysis
  • Utilize various tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMRush to monitor organic performance and conduct performance analysis
  • Create monthly SEO performance reports and communicate findings and strategies to Account Managers and clients.
  • Conduct Technical SEO Audits (reviewing error reports in Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, SEMRush, etc.)
Communication
  • Connect with Website Team and Account Management Team as needed to ensure the ease of workflow along with the timely completion of all projects
  • Monitor internal ticketing system for updated project tasks, which are assigned by the SEO Manager
  • Ability to communicate SEO ideas to both experts and non-experts
  • Strictly adhere to calendar deadlines

  • 1 year of experience in the SEO industry
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equal years of experience to demonstrate the necessary competencies required for the position
  • Strong analytical skills with extreme attention to detail
  • Advanced copywriting/copy editing skills
  • Beginner/Intermediate understanding of analysis tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMRush
  • Account management/client-facing experience
  • Some knowledge of CSS3 and HTML5 preferred
  • Must be a team player in all avenues
  • Superior time and task management skills
