About the Role:

We are looking for a Program Manager to join our Fraud Program team within the Identity & Trust Organization. You will lead high-impact programs that reduce fraud-related losses, mitigate systemic risks, and improve our ability to prevent and detect malicious activity across our products and platforms. This is a highly cross-functional and strategic role, combining elements of risk, product, operations, and technical execution.

You will report to the Senior Manager of Fraud Program Management and work closely with stakeholders across product, engineering, analytics, compliance, and operations. This is a hybrid role within Remitly's New Westminster, Canada office.

You Will:

  • Lead cross-functional programs that improve fraud prevention across products, platforms, and geographies.
  • Translate fraud trends into technical and product requirements, partnering with engineering and analytics teams.
  • Perform fraud risk assessments for new products and geographic expansions, driving the delivery of business requirements from discovery through implementation and maintenance.
  • Drive investigations and root cause analysis to inform system and process improvements.
  • Coordinate response and mitigation during fraud incidents or emerging threats.
  • Define and track program goals, risks, and success metrics; drive alignment across stakeholders.
  • Deliver clear updates to leadership through regular reviews and reporting mechanisms.
  • Effectively utilize AI tools to increase your velocity and scale your processes

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in program management, ideally within a fraud, trust & safety, or risk context.
  • Bachelor's degree, financial crimes related certifications (CFE, CFCS, etc.) or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in Excel and Google Workspace
  • Basic SQL experience
  • Strong technical fluency; ability to engage with engineers and analysts on system behavior and product architecture.
  • Experience building fraud controls from the ground up for new/changing products
  • Familiarity with fraud detection systems, rule engines, and models
  • Experience utilizing AI solutions to scale your impact
  • Prior experience in payments, fintech, remittances, or money movement is a plus.
  • Occasionally, you will be asked to provide your support during non-business hours when we are experiencing an acute attack. This role is exempt from overtime pay.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is $108,000 - $135,000. In Canada, Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
