Job description

Role: Senior Devops Engineer

Location: Dearborn, MI - 4days

Duration: 12+ Months

Experience: 7+ years

Position Description:

Employees in this job function are responsible for building, testing and maintaining the infrastructure and tools for software/ code development, deployment and release. They also help the organization speed up and automate aspects of the software lifecycle through a series of DevOps practices and processes

 Key Responsibilities:

 1. Imbibe DevOps methodology and practices across the product lifecycle for various software components

 2. Accelerate software releases while ensuring security and mitigating the risk of failed/ recalled software releases

 3. Ensure increase in cycle speed between feedback from end-user to an updated software by leveraging continuous   integration, continuous deployment, and continuous feedback

 4. Assess current systems and processes, and identify and implement ways to improve them

 5. Utilize platform and enterprise tools and infrastructure to facilitate DevOps methodology and approach

 6. Assist code/ software releases and deployments in various environments like production, testing, sandbox etc.

 7. Identify and spearhead creation of automation and innovation opportunities throughout the software product lifecycle

Skills Required:

1. GCP (Google Cloud Platform) Cloud Run • Deploy Cloud Run • Configure GCP Load Balancer • Debug Cloud Run issues • Experience with Artifact Registry

 2. Jenkins • Deploy Jenkins Controllers • Upgrade Jenkins versions • Deploy dynamic build nodes in GCP

 3. Terraform • Write Terraform modules • Debug deployment errors

4. Containers • Write, build, and deploy containers into a registry

Experience Required:

Senior Specialist Exp: 7+ experience in relevant field.

Experience Preferred:

GCP (Google Cloud Platform)

 • Google Compute Engine: Create, maintain, and debug VMs; deploy via Terraform; build VM images using Packer

 • Google Kubernetes Engine: Maintain namespaces; deploy via code and Helm charts

 • Google Networking: Debug proxy issues, load balancer issues, and network endpoint groups
