- Support prototype and new tooling development, and standardize build specifications (materials, mesh/screen, fastening methods, and critical dimensions) across the tooling catalog.
Preventive Maintenance amp; Standardization
- Maintain preventive maintenance schedules for high-use tools with simple repair checklists (e.g., screen/mesh repairs, alignment checks).
- Diagnose recurring tooling design failures and implement lasting fixes (e.g., design, material, process, handling changes).
Workflow Prioritization
- Maintain a live Google Sheets workflow tracker for all tooling requests (request date, priority, status, due date, and completion notes).
- Coordinate daily with production department to prioritize tooling work and align repair timelines with the production schedule.
- Work overtime as needed.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong fabrication skills: welding, fitting, grinding, soldering, assembling, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Ability to diagnose failure points and make repairs that address root causes, not just symptoms.
- High organization discipline: can plan work, prioritize, and keep a workflow system updated.
- Working proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets/Docs/Drive).
