Join Deloitte's Tax practice as a TCII, Tax Services, where you will help clients address complex tax matters, manage engagement delivery, and support teams in providing high-quality service. This role offers the opportunity to work across a range of tax compliance, consulting, and planning activities while building strong client relationships and developing team talent. We are looking for a candidate who can balance technical execution, project management, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Work you'll do

As a Tax Consultant II, you will work within an engagement team and draw on experience in accounting and taxation to provide tax compliance and consulting services to multinational clients on the tax implications of their international operations; and you will identify complex tax issues and provide tax analysis and recommendations for these entities and their affiliates.

This position involves combining both tax technical and technology skills to bring new and innovative processes and solutions to our clients in order to help them manage their multi-national tax compliance function.

The team works at the intersection of international tax, quantitative methodologies, process improvement, and digital transformation, helping clients manage compliance, improve reporting, and respond to evolving business and regulatory demands. Professionals on this team collaborate across industries and service offerings to deliver technical insight, analytical rigor, and project execution using tax technology, automation, and data tools. This environment offers opportunities to work with experienced practitioners while building capabilities across international tax, analytics, and technology-led solution delivery.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business field
  • 1+ years of experience in tax compliance, tax consulting, tax provision, or tax planning
  • 1+ years of experience leading engagements, projects, or tax teams
  • Experience reviewing tax returns, workpapers, and technical documentation
  • Experience using tax research tools and tax compliance software
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • One of the following active accreditations obtained, in process, or willing able to obtain:
    • Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA
    • If not CPA eligible, one of the other designations listed below based on role requirements and business approval:
      • Licensed Attorney
      • Enrolled Agent
      • Technology Certifications
        • Project Management Professional (PMP)
        • Vendor certification for management of implementations (Oracle, SAP, Thomson Reuters, etc.)
        • Alteryx Designer- Advanced Certification
        • Oracle Certified Professional
        • Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt)
        • Vendor certification for management of implementations (Oracle, SAP, Thomson Reuters, etc.) or relevant industry certification such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), AWS (Amazon Web Services) or GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
        • Other certifications not listed can be reviewed

Preferred:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous Big 4 experience, public accounting or consulting experience
  • Understanding of International tax process improvements and other areas affecting international tax such as, earnings and profits studies, outside tax basis analyses, transfer pricing, debt capacity analyses

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $64,725 to $107,875.
