Job description

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
  • Experience executing full-cycle FP&A functions including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and modeling within a multinational company setting.
  • Experience with programming (i.e. SQL).

Preferred qualifications:
  • Investment banking/portfolio management background experience.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear financial narratives for executive leadership.
  • Strong attention-to-detail with the ability to deliver multiple projects to a very high level of quality, high tolerance for ambiguity and change.
  • Great leadership and people skills and the ability to take charge, set objectives, drive to results while building long-term relationships across organizational boundaries with all levels of seniority.

In this role, you will enable and empower Google's Engineering and Infrastructure leaders to steer the technology and
Research and Development (R&D) roadmap towards financially optimal outcomes via scalable processes, quantitative analysis, strong Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) governance, and the translation of complexities into actionable insights.
As a part of the ITIA Finance, you will increasingly inform the roadmap for Google's infrastructure technologies, including machine learning hardware, advanced networking, and global data centers. You will help us prioritize across Google's complex technology roadmap, lead transformational projects, and drive/develop key novel metrics.

Responsibilities
  • Cultivate relationships across the Technical Infrastructure organization to understand the technical, strategic, and financial aspects of programs within the entire portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain a portfolio strategy for the business to manage and prioritize its portfolio of investments.
  • Evaluate portfolio resources, headcount and non-payroll opex for potential allocation/re-allocation to the highest priority programs.
  • Partner with finance and the business during annual planning activities and ensuring portfolio strategy is maintained throughout ZBB and OpEx planning.
  • Build and utilize AI to enhance portfolio management processes.
