Job description

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
  • Experience executing full-cycle FP&A functions including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and modeling within a multinational company setting.
  • Experience with programming (i.e. SQL).

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience managing financial planning and analysis specifically tailored to the data center function.
  • Ability to translate complex financial analytics into clear, persuasive narratives for senior leadership.
  • Advanced financial modeling and SQL skills combined with sharp business judgment to solve complex problems.
  • Demonstrated integrity, strong work ethic, and positive people skills to lead and collaborate effectively.

The Google Data Center team operates one of the world's largest, state-of-the-art private fleets, sustainably powered by renewable energy. Given the multi-billion-dollar scale of these annual investments, we require strong financial leadership to manage planning, risk, controls, and opportunity analytics.
As a strategic financial partner for Google Data Centers, you will lead end-to-end Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to drive data-backed decision-making across the organization. This includes managing full-cycle financial operations spanning monthly reporting packages, robust variance analysis, and the orchestration of annual planning. Acting as a trusted advisor to both business and finance leadership, you will deliver actionable insights, forecast short- and long-term models, and enforce spend governance to optimize capital and operational expenditures.
Leveraging your ability to influence without authority, you will frequently lead complex, cross-functional projects. You will seamlessly collaborate with teams across technical infrastructure, accounting, corporate finance, internal audit, systems, and engineering to align financial strategy with large-scale technical execution.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with all levels of the organization to optimize planning, forecasting, and management of the data center operating teams.
  • Help drive investment decisions, reduce risks, make resource trade-offs while keeping agility for the business, as well as uncover areas that need further analysis or attention.
  • Partner with other Finance, Accounting, and Business/Product teams to ensure a holistic approach for decision making, regulatory compliance, accurate analytics and reporting, and effective data collection.
  • Work with senior management across finance and the business to drive key financial metrics and improve financial insight & practices.
  • Coach and guide team members to ensure meaningful professional development for team members.
