  • Bachelor's degree in Security/Intelligence Studies, Risk Management, Political Science, International Relations, Communications, Business Continuity, Business Administration, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience managing, sourcing, or procuring business resources and vendors.
  • 5 years of experience coordinating or managing resources, and leading operational or project-based work and tasks.
  • 3 years of experience working in a security or threat intelligence position in the public or private sector.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Project Management certification.
  • 2 years of experience coordinating or leading security, and experience planning security operations or strategy for security programs.
  • 2 years of experience managing incidents and crises.
  • Experience in the technology sector, or understanding of technical infrastructure.
  • Understanding of the intelligence life-cycle, online research tools, and physical security threats and trends.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills in English and understanding of corporate writing style; meticulous attention to detail, grammar and style. Experience creating executive-level briefings/presentations.

As a Data Center Security Manager, you deliver full pieces of a project and make significant contributions with minimal guidance. You use your knowledge of security technology, data analysis, and data visualization to plan efforts of a team responsible for small to medium sized initiatives by delivering value-added perspectives and influencing project direction. You contribute to cross-team collaborations, identify and recommend multiple creative ways to solve defined problems. You also demonstrate the behaviors expected of all Googlers as captured in Google's cultural pillars, and you engage in community contributions to improve and sustain our culture and operations, making Google a better place to work.

As a part of the Threat Analysis and Crisis Services (TACS) team, you will be a critical pillar of Google Data Center’s Compliance, Strategy, and Risk Management (CSRM) organization. You will provide 24/7 threat monitoring, crisis support, and strategic intelligence to protect Google’s Technical Infrastructure, including people, operations, assets and supply chain.

In this role, you will leverage data-driven insights from open sources, public-private partnerships, and third-party intelligence, TACS transforms complex signals into actionable risk assessments. Your work enables the safe expansion of AI/ML and Cloud business growth, ensuring that Google’s physical and technical foundation remains resilient against emerging global threats.

The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems in the world. We are an upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $116000 - $167000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

  • Ensure a safe and secure infrastructure within a defined geographical region through executing and continuously improving the threat analysis and crisis services program for Google’s data centers and technical infrastructure (TI).
  • Coordinate timely, accurate, and relevant delivery of threat assessments, intelligence briefings, and short position papers that influence decision-making and business continuity.
  • Participate in incident response and deliver clear/concise communications documenting impacts and response actions for key stakeholders.
  • Assist in defining and executing the threat intelligence program strategy for Google’s technical infrastructure.
