Job description

Job Summary:
Google is a leading technology company, and they are seeking an Industry Solutions Architect Manager for Google Cloud. In this role, you will lead a team of Solution Architects to enhance their impact and facilitate cloud solutions for customers, while also providing subject matter expertise in public cloud and enterprise technology.
Responsibilities:
• Provide subject matter expertise around public cloud and enterprise technology and effectively promote Google Cloud with customers, at conferences, and online.
• Support account managers and sales engineering teams as needed through all phases of new customer engagement.
• Work with the team to create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, blog posts, sample code, and presentations as part of the Global GTM sales plays.
• Provide customer and market feedback to product and engineering teams to help shape product direction.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers.
• 3 years of people management experience.
• Experience in either system design or reading code (e.g., Java, C++, Python).
• Experience with producing technical assets or writing technical documentation.
• Industry expertise in at least one of the prioritized industries (e.g. Retail, Manufacturing, etc) with the ability to lead technical teams across all industries.
Preferred:
• MS degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field, OR equivalent work experience in a software/systems engineering or lead position.
• Expertise in at least one or more of the Google Product areas and the ability to manage technical resources across all areas.
• Understanding of the current state of machine learning, cloud migrations, continuous integration/deployment, SQL/NoSQL, security, networking, and cloud-based delivery models.
