Job description

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in enterprise technology sales, Go-To-Market strategy, or business development, with a focus on Cloud/SaaS ecosystems.
  • Experience in Generative AI portfolios.
  • Experience defining and executing global sales plays, analyzing performance metrics, and managing a macro Rhythm of the Business (ROB).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or MBA.
  • Experience navigating the frontier AI ecosystem, including strategic work with foundation model developers and AI-native platforms.
  • Experience bridging the "execution gap" by translating highly technical AI capabilities (e.g., deterministic creative control, latent space workflows, agentic APIs) into scalable, business-generating narratives.
  • Ability to think from first principles to define new markets and create GTM strategies for nascent technologies where the playbook has not yet been written.
  • High-agency leader with a "founder's mindset" who can comfortably navigate the ambiguity of rapid model releases.
About the Job

As the Practice Director, Generative AI, you will be responsible for setting the broad GenAI Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy across Google Cloud. You will drive product business generation goals by defining, launching, and monitoring global execution.

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Regional GTM teams, to help establish and develop the portfolio of GenAI solutions that fuel regional sales growth. You will showcase thought leadership, understanding and reacting to industry trends in AI to address core market opportunities aligned with our product roadmap. Balancing high-level strategic alignment with direct "innovator-builder" mentalities, you will manage blockers to enterprise-grade AI maturity, addressing integration complexities, data readiness, and consumption challenges.

Additionally, you will partner closely with engineering and regional sales teams to ensure a healthy pipeline. You will work with senior leadership from Engineering and GTM to report on business progress, recommend acceleration tactics, and ensure our solutions perform at scale.

US: $268000 - $374000 (USD) + 30% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Product general managers as the Global Sales point of contact. Serve as the primary interlock between Product, Engineering, and Regional Sales teams, ensuring alignment on the Global Solutions Portfolio Management process for the broader AI suite.
  • Provide visibility and insights into product performance through scorecard metrics. Own pipeline creation and progression metrics, revenue forecasting, consumption model updates, win/loss analysis, and annual planning.
  • Connect regional execution to global strategy by designing, staffing, and supporting major business plays. Ensure regional sales teams have the latest portfolio updates and competitive intelligence.
  • Share best practices and insights across regional sales leadership. Act as a critical feedback loop, transforming real-world field insights, data readiness issues, and state-management challenges into Google Cloud’s future AI product roadmap.
