Google Assistant information

What is a Google Assistant?

Google Assistant is a virtual assistant powered by artificial intelligence, developed by Google. It is designed to help users perform tasks, answer questions, control smart home devices, set reminders, and access information using voice commands or text input. Google Assistant is available on smartphones, smart speakers, smart displays, and other compatible devices. Its integration with various apps and services makes it a versatile tool for productivity, entertainment, and daily routines.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Google Assistant developer?

To thrive as a Google Assistant developer, you need strong programming skills (especially in JavaScript, Node.js, and conversational design) and familiarity with Google Actions SDK or Dialogflow. Experience with cloud platforms (like Google Cloud), API integrations, and relevant certifications such as Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Architect are highly valuable. Excellent problem-solving, creativity, and communication skills set developers apart by enabling effective user-focused solutions and collaboration. These competencies are crucial for building reliable, engaging, and scalable voice experiences that meet user needs and leverage Google Assistant's capabilities.

How does a Google Assistant Product Manager typically collaborate with engineering and design teams?

Product Managers for Google Assistant work closely with both engineering and design teams to define product requirements and prioritize features. This collaboration often involves regular meetings to align on project goals, discussing user feedback, and iterating on prototypes to ensure a seamless user experience. Product Managers act as the bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring the final product meets both user needs and business objectives. Effective communication and project management skills are essential in this dynamic, cross-functional environment.

What is the difference between Google Assistant vs Customer Service Representative?

Industry UsageTechnology, AI, consumer electronicsRetail, telecom, service industries
Primary RoleAssist users via voice commands, automate tasksHandle customer inquiries, resolve issues

Google Assistant is an AI-powered virtual assistant designed to perform tasks and answer questions through voice commands, requiring no formal credentials. Customer Service Representatives interact directly with customers, often in call centers, to provide support and resolve issues, typically needing a high school diploma. While Google Assistant operates autonomously in a digital environment, Customer Service Representatives work in human-centric settings. Both roles focus on assisting users or customers but differ significantly in credentials, environment, and interaction style.

Job description

The Marketing Coordinator is a hands-on marketing execution role responsible for turning strategy into action. This is not a project management position or a vendor coordination role. You’ll be building campaigns, creating assets, updating websites, supporting events, managing CRM communications, and ensuring every marketing initiative is executed with speed and precision.

Because Empower operates with an in-house marketing model, this role is expected to be both creative and technical. The ideal candidate enjoys rolling up their sleeves, learning new platforms, solving problems independently, and delivering high-quality work with minimal oversight.

This role offers a clear growth path into Marketing Manager based on performance and business growth.

What You’ll Do

Digital Marketing Execution

  • Build and maintain landing pages and website content using modern no-code website platforms.

  • Execute marketing campaigns across digital channels.

  • Support paid advertising initiatives across LinkedIn and Google.

  • Assist with SEO implementation and website optimization.

  • Maintain campaign assets and marketing libraries.

Creative Production

  • Create branded graphics, presentations, one-pagers, event materials, and digital assets based on brand templates.

  • Produce social media graphics and marketing collateral using existing brand standards.

  • Ensure visual consistency across every customer touchpoint.

CRM & Email Marketing

  • Build and send email campaigns.

  • Maintain CRM records, contact lists, workflows, and campaign reporting.

  • Execute automated marketing sequences.

Events & Field Marketing

  • Coordinate conferences, sponsorships, lunch-and-learns, and networking events.

  • Manage event logistics before, during, and after each event.

  • Own the 48-hour follow-up SLA by ensuring leads are entered, assigned, and contacted promptly.

  • Coordinate marketing materials, signage, promotional items, and event communications.

Marketing Operations

  • Help maintain the marketing calendar.

  • Coordinate project timelines and priorities.

  • Assist with new marketing initiatives as the Growth team expands.

Required Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of hands-on marketing execution experience.

  • Experience building and maintaining pages using modern no-code website platforms.

  • Strong production design skills using Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.

  • Working knowledge of LinkedIn Ads and Google Ads.

  • Experience with CRM and email marketing platforms.

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Comfortable making phone calls to coordinate vendors, partners, event logistics, and post-event follow-up.

  • Self-starter capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare marketing experience.

  • Personal injury, legal, or professional services marketing experience.

  • Experience supporting sales teams with marketing initiatives.

  • Basic understanding of SEO, Google Analytics, and marketing reporting.

  • Experience working within a fast-growing organization.

Success Looks Like

Within your first 90 days, you will:

  • Own day-to-day execution of marketing campaigns.

  • Independently update and maintain our website.

  • Launch email campaigns with minimal supervision.

  • Produce high-quality branded creative assets.

  • Successfully coordinate marketing events from planning through follow-up.

  • Consistently meet the 48-hour event lead follow-up standard.

  • Become a trusted execution partner for the Growth team.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who enjoys building more than managing.

You don’t wait for someone else to create the asset; you create it. You don’t hand projects to agencies; you execute them yourself. You thrive in fast-paced environments where priorities shift quickly, and you take pride in producing work that is both polished and effective.

If you’re curious, resourceful, highly organized, and excited to grow into a leadership role, you’ll fit right in.

Career Path

This position is designed as the next step toward leadership.

High-performing team members will have the opportunity to grow into a Marketing Manager role as Empower continues to expand nationally.

Why Empower

At Empower, marketing isn’t a support function; it is a growth engine. Every campaign, event, website update, and partnership helps connect patients with care, providers with opportunity, and partners with meaningful outcomes.

You’ll have the opportunity to help build one of the fastest-growing healthcare organizations in the country while working directly with executive leadership to shape the future of the brand.
