Job description

Essential Functions:
Responsibilities:To serve as analternate point of contact for Goodwill Industries at the worksite. To be knowledgeable of the statement of work and ensure that all work is performed to contractspecifications. To act in the placeof the supervisor in his or her absence.
1. To ensure that at least one member of the management team is on duty during work time.
2. To assist in orienting and training new or transferred custodial workers.
3. To supervise and recommend disciplinary action for custodial workers.
4. To perform custodial duties as assignedby the supervisor or assistant supervisor.
5. To supervise and motivate custodial employees to reach production guidelines and to be capable of producing as well. To conduct periodic inspections ofsubordinate's work performance, as required or as recommended by thesupervisor.
6. To address all customer complaints promptly andsatisfactorily. To notify supervisor,assistant supervisor and, if necessary, Project Manager of any customercomplaints and other issuesthat may arise at the worksite.
7. To inventory and request suppliesensuring that reordersare placed beforestock is depleted as directed by the supervisor. To inspect contractequipment on a regularschedule and maintain equipment inspection log as directed by the supervisor.
8. To act as a positiverole model for employees and customers in all aspectsof professional performance.
9. To observe personnelpolicies and safety procedures. To ensure compliance by subordinates. To ensurethe daily safetymeeting is conducted and documented.
10. To participate in employee monthly meetings.
11. To ensure hourlyfloor checks are conducted and documented.
12. To perform all dutiesas required per contract/Goodwillmanagement.
13. To perform additional dutiesas assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
1. Must be able to interactcordially and productively with a varietyof people.
2. Must be able tomarket Goodwill and explainthe mission to the public.
3. Must establish and maintain effective working relationships with,and among, contract personnel.
4. Must be able to read, write and communicateclearly in English.
5. Must be able to work a flexibleschedule on short notice, includingnights and weekends, and occasionally, long, orextended hours.
6. Must be able tolift and carry objects up to 10 #'s frequentlyand 50 #'s occasionally.
7. Must be able to engagein prolonged standing, walking and in frequent bending,stooping, and stretching and climbing stairs.
8. Must be able to functionin a hectic work environment with occasional periodsof high stress.
Requirements:
1. Five years' experience in the custodialfield with two years of supervisory experience required.
2. Must wear companyissued uniforms.
3. Must be able topass background check and drug screening.
