Job description

Essential Functions:
Responsibilities:
To represent Goodwill Industries at the work site. To ensure that all work is performed to contract specifications. To maintain equipment, supplies, personnel information, and time sheets. To be completely knowledgeable of the statement of work for the contract.
1. To ensure that employees are on duty during all work hours.
2. To orient and train grounds maintenance workers.
3. To supervise and discipline grounds maintenance workers. To recommend discharge to Contracts Management and Human Resources, when appropriate.
4. To schedule grounds maintenance employees, focusing on controlling payroll costs and providing adequate coverage of contract operation for proper customer service and quality.
5. To motivate grounds maintenance employees to reach production guidelines and to be capable of producing, as well.
6. To prepare personnel and payroll records in a timely manner. To complete accurately other paperwork required in the day-to-day operation of the contract.
7. To maintain inventory and request supplies, ensuring that reorders are placed before stock is depleted.
8. To act as a positive role model for employees and customers in all aspects of professional performance. To address customers complaints promptly and satisfactorily. To notify Project Manager of all potential problems and other issues that may arise at the worksite.
9. To observe personnel policies and safety procedures. To ensure compliance by subordinates. To ensure the daily safety meeting is conducted and documented.
10. To hold employee monthly meeting and document meeting discussions. All meetings must include a safety component.
11. To inspect contract equipment on a regular schedule and maintain an equipment inspection log.
12. To attend, as scheduled.
13. To possess and maintain a valid driver license and to be insurable by the Company's automotive insurance carrier. Must obey all traffic/safety laws.
14. To perform all duties as required per contract/Goodwill management.
15. To perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
1. Must be able to interact cordially and productively with a variety of people.
2. Must be able to market Goodwill and explain the mission to the public.
3. Must establish and maintain effective working relationships with, and among, contract personnel.
4. Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English.
5. Must be able to work a flexible schedule on short notice, including nights and weekends, and occasionally long or extended hours.
6. Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 10 #'s frequently and 50 #'s occasionally.
7. Must be able to engage in prolonged standing, walking and in frequent bending, stooping, and stretching and climbing stairs.
8. Must be able to function in a hectic work environment with occasional periods of high stress.
Requirements:
1. Five years' experience in the ground's maintenance field with two years of supervisory experience required.
2. Must wear company issued uniforms.
3. Must be able to pass background check and drug screening.
Working Conditions:
Frequent physical exertion, exposure to inclement weather, equipment fumes.
