Description
The Assistant Manager supports daily retail store operations and provides leadership in the absence of the Store Manager. This role is responsible for assisting with sales performance, staff supervision, customer service excellence, safety compliance, and operational efficiency. The Assistant Manager helps train and guide team members, ensures adherence to company policies and procedures, and promotes a safe, welcoming environment for customers, donors, and employees. This position requires flexibility in scheduling, the ability to meet physical demands of a retail environment, and a commitment to Goodwill's mission of providing opportunities for individuals with barriers to employment.
Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Texas driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Proof of insurance on a personal vehicle
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with retail operations
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office and POS systems)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous retail or supervisory experience
  • Bilingual skills
