Goodwill Staffing Services is looking for a Custodian (Temporary-Position) in Corpus Christi, TX at the Department of Public Safety Office.

DUTIES:

  • Must have basic knowledge of acceptable cleaning standards related to the cleaning and maintenance of the agency's facilities and of the facilities of contracting customers where custodial/janitorial services are provided. Must be able to operate custodial/janitorial equipment such as buffers, carpet cleaners, floor strippers and other applicable cleaning equipment to maintain the cleanliness of the facility in which they work. Must be able to monitor inventory and relaying to management the materials and supplies necessary for fulfilling custodial cleaning and maintenance where applicable.
  • Must exhibit the ability to communicate with the staff, co-workers, and customers in an appropriate and ethical manner.
  • Prepare appropriate cleaning solutions according to proper procedures.
  • Adherence to OSHA standards in relation to the proper use of chemicals and equipment involved in the day-to-day completion of custodial cleaning tasks.
  • Sweep/Vacuum/Dust/Mop floors and offices
  • Empty trash containers and replace trash bags. Discard trash in appropriate location.
  • Clean restrooms following appropriate procedures.
  • Adheres to and enforces safety and loss prevention procedures to prevent injury to personnel and damage to property, equipment and inventory.
  • Ensures all operations are performed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Embrace the core values of the agency in the spirit in which the agency operates at work and in the community.
  • Contribute to the fulfillment of department and company objectives and goals.
  • Comply with all department and company policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:
