SUMMARY

The Donation Attendant (Multi-Location) represents Goodwill at donation receiving sites, including Goodwill stores, Attended Donation Centers (ADCs) and community donation events. A Donation Attendant (Multi-Location) is responsible for the smooth intake, processing, and distribution of donated goods. This involves tasks like greeting donors, accepting donations, providing receipts, educating donors on the Company mission and acceptable donations. The Donation Attendant (Multi-Location) also provides excellent customer service, ensuring donors have a positive experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Greets donors in a friendly, courteous and timely manner.
  • Assists donors with the unloading of donations, provides a receipt and thanks all donors for supporting Goodwill.
  • Directs donor vehicular traffic when necessary
  • Assists in donation tracking and record keeping
  • Identifies acceptable and unacceptable donation items
  • Serves as company ambassador and explains the Goodwill Mission in the community by providing general information about Goodwill’s Mission, Services and Programs
  • Responsible for regular communication with the Retail Store Manager and/or Donation Attendant Supervisor.
  • Adheres to company uniform and appearance standards and maintains a professional image at all times.
  • Complies with safety standards and follows operating procedures when utilizing equipment, tools & machinery.
  • Other duties as assigned.
