PURPOSE OF POSITION: To provide for general maintenance of store, which includes all janitorial duties at location. Position also responds to donation door. To fulfill Goodwill’s mission statement.


SUPERVISION RECEIVED: District Manager, Store Manager, Asst. Store Manager & Team Leader


SUPERVISION EXERCISED: None.


QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION: No minimum qualifications set.


ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with individuals who have disabilities and or barriers to employment and participate in the achievement of their goals. Demonstrate a positive, role model. Display commitment and involvement towards Goodwill's mission.


JOB PROFICIENCIES: Teamwork, Accuracy, Customer Service, Quality, Fashion Sense, Ethics and Trust, Product Knowledge, Oral Communications, Safety and Security.


JOB COMPETENCIES: Sorts through donations which may include household items, games, toys, holiday items, wares and other miscellaneous donations. Hangs clothing and tags textiles. Prices items and follow procedures for identified salvage.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Sort through donations and place into gender categories.
  • Sort all goods brought to goods area into categories:
  • Household
  • Games
  • Toys
  • Holiday items
  • Miscellaneous
  • Hang clothing and textiles on rack and tag, if needed, quantity and gender, date.
  • Price good item in two places.
  • Salvage unusable donation and label as such “salvage”.
  • Must meet getting rack quotas out daily.
  • Separately price vintage and formal wear for sales floor.
  • Do weekly productions report.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attend meetings as required.
