Goodwill is an intangible asset that typically arises when a company acquires another business for more than the fair value of its identifiable assets and liabilities. Managing goodwill involves regular impairment testing, accurate accounting, and ensuring that the acquired business continues to perform as expected. Effective Goodwill Management is important because it can impact a company's financial statements and overall market value.
