Salary:

Road Construction Laborers and Operators


Come and join the team at C&S Sweeping as we work to prepare the AZ roads and highways for resurfacing.


The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic; is customer-oriented, adaptable/flexible, and detail-oriented.


Ground operation of Asphalt Milling Machine - Experience helpful

Operate Asphalt Trimmer & Gannon Tractor - Experience helpful

Ensure operation is free of obstructions

Guides equipment to ensure quality and optimum safety

Maintain and repair equipment

Proven safe work practices and operations.

Assists in preparation and cleanup of asphalt


Willingness and ability to work on out-of-town for short-term assignments

Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends as needed


Qualifications

  • Prior experience operating heavy equipment helpful
  • Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with internal and external drivers and customers.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing (Class B preferred).
  • Must possess the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects utilizing organizational skills and communications skills.
  • Strong sense of responsibility regarding safety, timely and accurate completion of work.
  • Must be capable of functioning under fast-paced, stressful working conditions.
  • Prior paving or asphalt milling experience.
  • Must have one year of previous experience in construction.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Exposure to outside weather, including frequent hot and cold conditions, as well as exposure to fumes, vibrations, and airborne particles
  • Noise level is usually moderate
  • Requires the employee to sit, climb, bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts, so employees will be required to follow Company mandated safety requirements.
