We are seeking a dependable and hardworking General Laborer to support our ready mix operations by maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient plant environment.
Job Description
As a General Laborer at HRM Concrete, you will play a vital role in supporting daily plant operations by assisting equipment operators, maintaining the plant and yard, performing general cleanup, and helping ensure materials and equipment are ready for production. This position requires a strong work ethic, the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment, and a willingness to perform a variety of physical tasks.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Ready Mix Loader Operator and other plant personnel with daily operations.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties, including cleaning the plant, yard, equipment, and work areas.
  • Shovel, sweep, and remove spilled aggregate, concrete, and debris to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Assist with unloading and organizing materials and supplies.
  • Support routine maintenance activities by gathering tools, parts, and equipment as directed.
  • Inspect work areas for safety hazards and report concerns to supervisors.
  • Help direct truck traffic and maintain safe loading and unloading areas when needed.
  • Operate basic hand and power tools safely.
  • Perform manual labor, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
  • Complete other duties as assigned to support plant operations.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous construction, manufacturing, or concrete plant experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
