Job description

JSC Management Group/Burger King Shift Manager is responsible for assisting with managing the daily operations of a single restaurant in accordance with Company standards for the assigned shifts. The shift manager manages the restaurant in the absence of the Assistant and General Managers.
  • Is assigned supervising shifts throughout the week, during such times as being in exclusive charge of subordinates assigned to the shift
  • Maintains order and discipline among employees supervised, including reprimands, verbal and written, suspensions, and recommendations of employment termination
  • Supervises hourly employees in the preparation of menu items to ensure compliance with all JSC Management Group and Burger King Operations and Sanitation standards
  • Supervises hourly employees to maintain a good level of Guest Service and to ensure orders are taken in a prompt, accurate, and courteous manner. Resolves guest complaints as required
  • Prepares required administrative reports, as necessary
  • Responsible for ensuring that all equipment and restaurant facilities comply with JSC Management Group's Maintenance and Sanitation standards
  • Responsible for assisting with proper ordering, accounting, and maintenance of all food and paper inventories
  • Responsible for all cash controls and enforcement of JSC Management Group's security policies
  • Performs other responsibilities as directed by JSC Management Group's policy/standards

Requirements
If you are seeking the position of a Shift Manager with JSC Management Group/Burger King, the following are major requirements:
  • 1-2 years of first line supervisory or management experience from a restaurant or retail environment
  • Ability to work a 40-hour work-week which will include nights, weekends, and holidays
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good written, verbal, math, and interpersonal skills required
  • Valid driver's license and personal transportation
  • Outgoing personality
  • Skilled in manning the front counter in a manner that is conducive to good guest services
  • Competent in operating cash registers, accurately counting change, and other basic math skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to interact productively with co-workers and function well in a team environment
  • Ability to resolve consumer issues with tact
  • Ability to stoop, bend, wipe, reach, grasp, and lift
  • Strong ability to move swiftly and perform duties in a confined workplace
  • Strong ability to walk and stand through 8 hour shifts
  • Ability to meet regulations concerning health risk issues about food handling
  • Ability to meet and maintain Company uniform and grooming standards
  • Ability to meet all necessary training requirements
  • Possess exceptional Guest Service skills
