Position Overview

The Apprentice Mechanic at Professional Excavators & Construction Inc. is an entry-level role focused on supporting the maintenance and repair of heavy trucks and equipment while gaining hands-on experience and technical knowledge under the guidance of experienced mechanics. This apprentice position offers a valuable opportunity to develop skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist experienced mechanics with routine maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics of heavy trucks and construction equipment.
  • Learn to perform preventative maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tool and parts inventory management.
  • Observe and adhere to all safety policies and procedures in the shop and on job sites.
  • Participate in technical training and education to develop mechanical skills and trade knowledge.
