A Gomaco Operator is responsible for operating Gomaco concrete paving machines, used for slipform paving of roads, curbs, gutters, and other concrete structures. They ensure the proper setup, alignment, and operation of the machine to achieve accurate paving results. This role involves reading blueprints, making adjustments to the equipment, and performing routine maintenance. Operators must have experience with heavy machinery and an understanding of concrete pouring and finishing techniques.
As a Gomaco Operator, your main responsibility is to operate Gomaco concrete paving machines to shape and finish concrete surfaces according to project specifications. Daily tasks often include setting up the equipment, monitoring machine performance, ensuring correct material flow, and making necessary adjustments to achieve accurate alignment and grade. You’ll frequently collaborate with site supervisors, surveyors, and laborers to coordinate each phase of the paving process and handle routine maintenance or troubleshooting. Working as a Gomaco Operator requires focus and adaptability, as each job site may present unique challenges and varying work environments.
To thrive as a Gomaco Operator, you must have a solid understanding of heavy equipment operation, mechanical aptitude, and experience working with concrete paving machinery, typically supported by prior construction industry experience or relevant training. Familiarity with Gomaco equipment controls, laser or GPS guidance systems, and the ability to read construction blueprints or plans are highly beneficial. Excellent teamwork, attention to detail, and good communication are crucial soft skills that enhance on-site coordination and project efficiency. These abilities help ensure precise concrete placement, maintain jobsite safety, and contribute to the successful completion of paving projects.

Concrete Paving Equipment Operator Will Have the Opportunity To:
Operate a Gomaco 2600 2 Track Paver.
Operate a Gomaco Commander 3. (3 and 4 track)
Operate a Gomaco GP3
Operate Gomaco and 9000/9500 trimmers.
Set up equipment for width and profile variances.
Assist in the proper maintenance of equipment.
Assist with change and trimming grade.
Concrete Paving Equipment Operator Requirements:
2 years of experience operating Gomaco concrete paving equipment.
Ability to work outside in heat, cold and inclement weather.
Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Must be willing to travel to jobsite locations and have reliable transportation.
Pay from $25.00 to $30.00 based on experience
