Description
The Department of Pediatrics, Division of General Pediatrics, is recruiting a full-time General Pediatrician to join our vibrant, multi-disciplinary team as a provider in the Golisano Children's Hospital Pediatric Practice (GCHPP). Academic rank will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience.
The Golisano Children's Hospital Pediatric Practice (GCHPP), a designated Patient-Centered Medical Home, cares for over 13,000 patients utilizing a team-based care model. The General Pediatrician will provide comprehensive and compassionate care for all patients, including those within Rochester's medically underserved community. The candidate will work closely with teams of advanced practice providers, nurses, social workers, care coordinators, and support staff delivering care to GCHPP patients.
The General Pediatrician will have the opportunity to serve on a variety of committees within the University and is expected to uphold the University's ICARE values, Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence.
Qualifications
  • MD, DO, or equivalent
  • Board certified/eligible in Pediatrics
  • Eligible for NYS license and DEA certification
  • Successful candidates will have outstanding pediatric accomplishment and promise, and a commitment to the mission of Golisano Children's Hospital.
  • Desire to teach and supervise patient care of assigned medical students, residents and fellows.

Golisano Children's Hospital is the dedicated children's hospital within the University of Rochester Medical Center and operates under the license of Strong Memorial Hospital, a regional academic medical center and Level I Pediatric Trauma Center.
The hospital is consistently ranked among the nation's best children's hospitals by U.S. News & World Report across multiple specialties, including neonatology, neurology, hematology/oncology, nephrology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, and orthopedics.
The current eight-story, 148-bed facility provides comprehensive pediatric care across more than 40 specialty areas and serves over 85,000 children and families annually across Western and Central New York. Plans are underway for a significant expansion, including additional inpatient capacity and programmatic growth.
