Job Summary

Summit Restoration is seeking a driven Strategic Relationship Manager to strengthen existing partnerships, develop new referral relationships, and support long term business growth within the restoration industry. This role spends their time approximately half in the field and half in the office, balancing face to face meetings with adjusters, property managers, insurance agents, and referral partners alongside strategic sales planning and collaboration with our internal team. We're looking for someone who will take an intentional, relationship first approach to sales and increase our client network through meaningful, long term partnerships.


Key Responsibilities


Relationship Development

  • Build and strengthen long term relationships within Summit's key verticals, including insurance adjusters, property management companies, insurance agents, retirement communities, City partnerships, and other strategic referral partners.
  • Serve as a trusted resource and point of contact by maintaining regular communication and delivering value beyond individual projects.
  • Follow sales opportunities and client relationships from initial contact through project completion to ensure exceptional client experience and encourage repeat and referral business.

Sales Strategy

  • Research and identify prospective clients, target companies, and referral opportunities that align with Summit's growth strategy.
  • Review pending sales opportunities and coordinate with estimators and project managers to attend strategic job walks and client meetings or lunches when relationship building opportunities exist. 
  • Collaborate with the internal team to establish, monitor, and achieve business development goals and relationship growth objectives. 
  • Maintain accurate client profiles, relationship history, and notes within Dash Contact Manager CRM.
  • Review newly received and recently completed job reports to identify opportunities for timely client follow up and relationship strengthening.
  • Monitor industry trends, company staffing changes, and market developments to identify new business opportunities.

BD Planning & Field Engagement

  • Develop and execute strategic outreach plans that prioritize target accounts, industry verticals, and geographic territories.
  • Plan and conduct purposeful meetings, job site visits, lunches, networking events, and relationship building activities with current and prospective clients.
  • Document relationship activity in Dash Contact Manager CRM and provide regular updates during team meetings to align priorities and opportunities.

Marketing Collaboration & Online Presence

  • Collaborate with marketing on relationship focused outreach and targeted communication strategies.
  • Collaborate on ideas for company social media, website content, and online review strategy.
  • Maintain a professional social media presence by creating and sharing content that strengthens relationships, highlights Summit's expertise, and show cases the business development efforts.
  • Contribute ideas for vertical specific marketing emails and in person campaigns.

Events

  • Attend association events, trade shows, golf tournaments, charity events, lunch and learns, networking functions, etc.
  • Manage post event follow up with contacts and maintain ongoing relationship development.
  • Maximize event participation by scheduling meetings with key partners before and after events.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of business development, sales, or relationship management experience (restoration, construction, or insurance industry related preferred).
  • Natural relationship builder who creates authentic connections and becomes a trusted resource for clients and referral partners.
  • Strong communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with strong CRM discipline.
  • Strategic thinker who enjoys planning, researching, and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Comfortable presenting in group settings (lunch & learns, association events, etc.).
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
