Job description
General Definition of Work
Performs intermediate semiskilled work maintaining and cleaning Clubhouse and surrounding grounds, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Golf Operations Director.
Qualification Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Essential Functions
Provides prompt courteous service to all patrons.
Cleans and washes golf carts.
Prepare food items for concession sales.
Ability to learn to operate point-of-sale (POS) system and collect payment of services.
Communicate course rules, regulations, and etiquette to golfers.
Control play on the driving range; clean up range balls daily.
Responsible for securing facility and equipment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of the principles, practice, rules, and etiquette of proper golf and golf course; knowledge or ability to learn food preparation and handling ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, other departments, supervisors, and the general public. Strong communication skills and ability to work well with the general public and other employees.
Education and Experience
High School diploma or GED required. Previous experience in retail, customer service, or hospitality preferred.
Physical Requirements
This work requires the frequent exertion of up to 25 pounds of force; work regularly requires sitting and repetitive motions, frequently requires reaching with hands and arms and occasionally requires standing, walking, speaking or hearing, using hands to finger, handle or feel, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling and pushing or pulling; work requires close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust focus, depth perception, color perception and peripheral vision; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; work regularly requires exposure to extreme heat (non-weather) and exposure to vibration, frequently requires exposure to wet, humid conditions (non-weather), exposure to fumes or airborne particles, exposure to outdoor weather conditions, exposure to extreme cold (non-weather), exposure to the risk of electrical shock and exposure to bloodborne pathogens and may be required to wear specialized personal protective equipment; work is generally in a very loud noise location (e.g. grounds maintenance, mowers).
Special Requirements
Valid driver's license in the State of Indiana.
If over 21 years of age, obtain Alcohol Serving Permit.
Must be available and willing to work mornings, afternoons, and evenings on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Required to wear appropriate golf attire during shifts, including a collared shirt, khaki pants or shorts, and other golf-appropriate clothing.
