Job description

Job Summary

Here at the Coeur d'Alene Resort golf course, home of the prestigious Floating Green, the Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the appearance, playability, and safety of the golf course and surrounding grounds. This role supports daily course operations by performing routine maintenance, landscaping, and equipment operation to ensure high standards of turf quality and overall course presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be a great teammate
  • Maintain golf course grounds including greens, tees, fairways, roughs, bunkers, and landscaped areas
  • Mow, trim, edge, and aerate turf according to course maintenance schedules
  • Rake and maintain bunkers; repair divots and ball marks as needed
  • Operate and maintain landscaping and maintenance equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, utility vehicles, etc.)
  • Perform general landscaping duties such as planting, pruning, and debris removal
  • Identify and report turf damage, irrigation issues, or equipment malfunctions
  • Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe work environment
  • Assist with special projects and tournament preparation as needed

Qualifications

  • Ability to operate and maintain power equipment safely
  • Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor for extended periods

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS OPPORTUNITIES

Medical, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance, Flexible Reimbursement Plan:

  • Full Time Employees are offered these benefits first of the month following 60 days of employment
  • Must maintain a minimum of 30 hours per week or more.
  • Variable hour team members could be eligible 12 months after their date of hire, with supervisor approval, so long as they have averaged 30+ hours per week throughout their first year.

401K Plan:

  • Team members are eligible to participate at the age of 21 or greater and at the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment.
  • 50% match up to a 4% contribution from the team member.

PTO:

  • 6 months gets 7 PTO days - 728 hours (average 28 hours per week)
  • 1 year gets 10 PTO days - 1,456 hours (average 28 hours per week)
  • 2-4 years gets 15 PTO days - 1,456 hours (average 28 hours per week)
  • 5+ years gets 20 PTO days - 1,200 hours (average 23 hours per week)

Holiday Pay:

  • Hourly team members who work on Thanksgiving and Christmas will be paid their wage at time and a half.
