Job description

Occupational Summary

Be You.

Promote all areas of golf at Duke Golf Club, making every effort to ensure that individuals enjoy their golfing experience. Direct the flow of play and assist as necessary to ensure golfers progress through their rounds in a timely and appropriate manner. Positions are seasonal based on operation of Golf Club.

Be Bold.

Work Performed

Direct the flow of play, politely moving along slow groups, to ensure and 18-hole round is completed within established time frames; monitor play by riding the golf course in the opposite direction from play, being mindful not to interfere or disturb players when they are about to play a shot; record the number of players and golf car usage. Inform players of golf course rules and/or special instructions for that day in accordance with established policies and procedures; remind players of rules if they appear to be in violation.

Assist players in any way that might be deemed helpful to speed play, such as finding lost balls.

Help keep the golf course attractive, neat and clean by monitoring waste disposal. Assist in conducting tournaments held at the golf course as needed.

Check all players for cash register receipts prior to their teeing off.

Assist all pro shop personnel throughout shift as instructed.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
