This posting represents our General Manager – Social Leadership Talent Network across current and future markets. We are proactively identifying experienced hospitality leaders who want to grow with Five Iron as expansion continues.


The General Manager - Social is the ultimate purveyor of all the fun that Five Iron Golf has to offer. The GM - Social hires, trains, and coaches staff to deliver exceptional service and genuine, enlightened hospitality, fulfilling the Five Iron promise of fun and memorable experiences that guests will want to share with family and friends!


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Drive revenue through Simulator Rentals, Food and Beverage Sales, and League sales
  • Recruit, hire, and train (or oversee the recruiting, hiring, and training) of social staff.
  • Actively evaluate employee performance to ensure daily business needs are met
  • Manage and oversee all operations of the social side of the business, including leagues, simulator rental experiences, event execution, facilities maintenance, food & beverage service, and social staff scheduling.
  • Take pride and ownership of each Guest’s enjoyment at Five Iron Golf, ensuring above-and-beyond service standards for all staff.
  • Acquire and maintain comprehensive knowledge of all products and services, including technology, lessons, leagues, memberships, as well as spirits, beer, wine, and food and beverage offerings. Use this expertise to confidently sell and cross-sell across various offerings.
  • Manage the Social P&L of the location, efficiently operating the space by monitoring and reducing labor and other operating costs
  • Build relationships within the community, foster loyalty with customers, and encourage repeat business through proactive engagement and local marketing efforts
  • Take pride and ownership of each Guest’s enjoyment and fun at Five Iron Golf, ensuring guest satisfaction and engagement at all times.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to align efforts and achieve business goals.
  • Clearly and effectively communicate location needs to corporate representatives
  • Ensure that the location adheres to health and safety regulations and operates in compliance with all local laws, including alcohol service laws

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hospitality management experience with at least 3 recent years as Assistant General Manager or General Manager
  • Strong leadership ability and willingness to lead by example
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Upbeat energy and enthusiasm and a positive attitude
  • Ability to think on your feet and manage customer expectations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Availability to be present in the space on evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand, walk and bend for long periods of time and maneuver up and down stairs
  • Ability to obtain proper licensing and certifications for the location
