Their insights help improve product design and performance. Some testers work for golf brands, while others are independent or contribute to media reviews.

What does a golf equipment tester do?

A typical day for a Golf Equipment Tester involves testing various clubs, balls, and accessories both on the golf course and at specialized indoor facilities. You'll collect performance data, assess feel and playability, and document your insights for manufacturer reports. Collaboration with equipment engineers, club fitters, and sometimes marketing teams is common to provide comprehensive feedback and recommendations for product improvements. Testers may also participate in product launches or public demonstrations. This role is ideal if you enjoy hands-on analysis, frequent play, and direct involvement in the product development process.
