Job description

Position Summary: As an HVAC / Refrigeration Mechanic, you will assist with all service calls, as well as manage the overall upkeep of our commercial facilities. You will also complete all assigned work orders efficiently and to Resort standards. Additionally, you will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and Refrigeration equipment to ensure longevity and proper usage. Lastly, you will perform preventive maintenance as scheduled and perform light plumbing, electrical and HVAC repairs. Open to a wide range of experience, although prior experience in a related field is highly preferred.
Pay Rate: The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers. Kiawah Island Golf Resort's actual rate of pay will be determined during the hiring process.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent work references required.
  • High School diploma, or equivalent GED, required.
  • Minimum 18 years of age due to type of equipment used and general work environment.
  • Minimum of two or more years of refrigeration maintenance experience highly preferred.
  • Must be able to handle confidential information.
  • Must work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Good to Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Expectations & Responsibilities:
  • Must have an eye for detail in the trade with focus on refrigeration and HVAC trouble shooting
  • Must possess good organizational and communication skills.
  • Uphold the core values, and policies and procedures of the resort.
  • Mostly daytime shifts, including holidays and weekends.
  • All other duties, as assigned.

Essential Physical Requirements:
  • Must be in good physical condition and have the ability to move / lift various objects throughout shift.
  • Must be comfortable climbing and working on ladders ranging from 6' to 20' heights.
  • Must be able to stand for a majority of the shift while reaching, bending and stooping frequently.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds across short-medium distance.
  • Must be able to work on site due to daily needs of the job requirements.
  • Must be able to work in all-weather elements and heights.
