Description

The City of Greer is hiring a Seasonal Pro Shop Attendant for Greer Golf.


POSITION SUMMARY

The Golf Shop Attendant is responsible for assisting the General Manager & Assistant General Manager with the day-to-day operations of the golf shop and services department by administering the day-to-day golf shop duties, such as opening and closing, answering calls, and making golf reservations. This position is also responsible for assisting with the maintenance of the golf course's cart fleet, as well as building maintenance. The Golf Shop Attendant reports to the General Manager and Assistant General Manager.


SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administers point of sales transactions and maintains the day-to-day golf reservation systems by reserving tee times and lessons, checking in customers, and receiving payments. 
  • Assists with golf range services by ensuring the driving range is set up and broken down daily and monitoring the cleanliness of the driving range and availability of clean range balls. Accurately reconciles cash register sales with daily sales reports at shift change points. 
  • Ensures the collection and recording receipt of appropriate payment (cash, credit card transactions) in accordance with company and City procedures. 
  • Keeps a working knowledge of all upcoming tournaments and programs to provide accurate information to guests. 
  • Maintains records of daily play on golf course and other data, as directed. 
  • Assists with maintaining the data management system within the point-of-sales software. 
  • Performs outside service duties, such as setting and maintaining cart staging area, the driving range practice tees, putting green, and short game area. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required by upper management.
Additional Duties:
  • Performs general administrative/office duties as required, including typing reports and correspondence, entering and retrieving computer data, copying and filing documents, sending and receiving faxes, answering the telephone, etc.
  • Continually stays up to date on all policy, procedure, and/or process changes. 
  • Completes all work accurately, safely, and efficiently.
  • Keeps work area clean and safe.
  • Maintains any assigned equipment in safe and good operating condition.
  • Reports to Supervisor any suggested improvements or areas of concern. 
  • Ensures professionalism and exceptional customer service during all interactions while performing job representing the City of Greer.
  • Exhibits strong ethical standards; ability to create trust and integrity with co-workers, customers, and community.
  • Adheres to Employee Handbook and other relevant policies and procedures.
  • Maintains regular and sustained attendance.

Hours: Monday through Sunday, 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM; additional hours as scheduled. Up to 25 hours per week.

This is a seasonal position ending around the end of October.


Salary: Minimum $16.45 per hour
