Position Summary:

The Golf Course Landscaper must have a working knowledge of grass and plant materials or be trainable in all areas. They must have awareness of the proper use of tools required for the job. They must have awareness of insects and diseases on flowers and grass or must be trainable in all areas. They must be able to communicate and follow oral and written directions.

Responsibilities:

  • Required to wear without question all safety equipment provided by the Club during working hours.
  • Keeping the grass and hedges trimmed around the Golf Course grounds.
  • Planting and pruning of flowers, shrubs and trees.
  • Bringing any problems to the attention of the Course Managers and/or Landscape Foreman.
  • Reporting accidents to the attention of the Course Managers and/or Landscape Foreman as soon as it happens.
  • Keeping equipment and tools clean and report any problems or breakage with any equipment to the Course Managers and/or Equipment Manager.
  • Other work as directed by the Course Managers and/or Landscape Foreman.

Requirements:

  • As a โ€œTeam Playerโ€ of Boca Woods Country Club, the employee must be flexible and is required to perform any job in what ever capacity as requested by the Director of Golf Course Maintenance, Course Managers and/or Landscape Foreman that may be necessary for the smooth operation of maintenance on the golf courses.
  • He/She must be able to lift 50 - 80 pounds, which represents concrete, fertilizer, seed bags or equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles and is frequently exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat.
