Job description

Job Title: Golf Club Operations

Department: IMG Academy Golf Club

Position Summary: The Golf Club Operations staff assists members and guests with their golf experience outside of the pro shop. This role focuses on customer service, course readiness, and maintaining facilities to ensure an exceptional experience for all visitors

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet all members and guests in a friendly and professional manner

  • Provide information about the course rules, playing conditions and other course amenities

  • Assist with golf bag handling, including staging bags and putting them on golf carts

  • Stage and clean golf carts to ensure they are ready for use and in excellent condition

  • Maintain cart barn, bag room and other storage areasย 

  • Set up and maintain the driving range, putting green and short game area

  • Assist golf course leadership in the setup and execution of tournaments or events

  • Support with general course maintenance and cleanlinessย ย 

  • Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • High School degree or equivalent

  • Basic knowledge of golf course procedures

  • Present a positive, professional image

  • Strong customer service skills and a passion for interacting with people

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions

  • Follow safety practices and recognize hazards

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes up to 40lbs.ย 

  • Ability to operate a golf cart safely across varied terrain and weather conditions

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, humidity, rain, and sun exposure

  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as needed to perform job duties

  • Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays as needed
