Job Purpose
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing menu items according to company recipes and presentation standards, ensuring quality, consistency, and speed of service. This role includes setting up and stocking stations, maintaining a clean and sanitary workspace, and supporting the kitchen team in delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare ingredients for service, including chopping, portioning, mixing, and measuring
  • Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies before each shift
  • Cook menu items accurately and efficiently according to recipes and presentation standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations throughout service
  • Label and store all food products properly after each shift
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
  • Assist with training new kitchen team members as requested
  • Communicate equipment or supply needs to management promptly
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
Qualifications
  • Previous culinary experience in a high-volume environment required; multi-station experience a plus
  • Strong understanding of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy, and physically demanding environment
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and time management skills
  • Safe Food Handler certification preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Working Conditions
  • Fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to heat, humidity, and wet surfaces
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Frequent handwashing and use of gloves required
  • Schedule includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
