Job description

Summary  
Maintains a professional and presentable Golf Shop.  Provides support to the Player Assistants and department staff.  Conducts all facets of reservation procedures for tee times; collects green fees and maintains cash drawer.  Flexible to work shifts that may include weekends and tournaments.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities                                    

  • Greets and communicates with guests in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answers the telephone and provides information on tee times and other golf course information 
  • Conducts all facets of reservation procedures, sets tee times to include collecting green fees, processing credit card charges, refunds, and deposits using computerized system
  • Maintains accurate records and filing system
  • Assists Player Attendants and department staff by operating the tee sheet and POS system, makes deposits, shows the golf course facilities
  • Sells golf store items and explains golf products and services
  • Ensures shop is stocked of merchandise, monitors inventory, and maintains cleanliness of the shop
  • Follows City policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Completion of two (2) years of high school

Preferred Qualifications

  • One (1) year of golf industry experience
  • Experience with cash handling and point of sale systems

  • Valid driver’s license
