We are currently looking for highly energetic servers to join us here at the Local Goat. We are a one of a kind farm to table concept, and we are looking for team members who can appreciate that and sell it. We are looking for exuberant personalities and amazing customer service skills. Persons applying must be able to work with FOH POS systems, with a general knowledge of how a restaurant runs. You must have at least 1 year experience working in the service industry, and a current ABC server permit. We are a unique concept, with an amazing following and a lot of pride for what we do, so if you feel like you would like to join our team and be an ambassador for all we do and all we believe in then we would love for you to join us.
Some of the essential functions for our servers include:
  • Create a warm, welcoming, and fun atmosphere for our guests and fellow employees.
  • Set places at dining tables, take orders, serve food and drinks.
  • Answer questions about food and drinks, including their ingredients, preparation, and accompanying items.
  • Maintain cleanliness of restaurant by pre-busing tables, cleaning area around and under tables, clean, sanitize and restock server stations.
  • Perform all duties in a timely manner in accordance with established company policies. Must be able to maintain all food safety, work safety, and sanitation policies and procedures.

Qualification Standards:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
  • Must be neatly dressed and well groomed in accordance with the company uniform and appearance policies.
  • Must be able to operate a point of sale terminal, make change correctly, and complete credit card transactions
  • Must be able to deliver plates, food, clear tables, change soda boxes, and carry ice which may require lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to calmly respond to angry guests and notify a manager.
  • Must be able to stand for 6 - 8 hour shift.
  • Must be able to complete all training steps and knowledge checks.
  • Must be able to respond clearly to guests requests
  • Must be able to hear well in a loud environment.
  • Must be able to effectively adhere to all alcohol awareness procedures for serving liquor and beer.
