Job description

Part Time Goalie Development Instructor/Coach:
In charge of training goaltenders with a wide range of ages in an on-ice and off-ice setting. This is NOT a team coaching position. This position you are working on individual goaltending skills and concepts.
If you haven't played or coached at the HS Varsity level or its equivalent no need to apply for this.
Whether you're still playing competitive hockey or you are a working professional in another industry but looking to help coach and develop the next generation of goaltenders then this position might be a great fit for you.
Statement of Job Purposes and Objectives:
Responsible for providing high quality coaching and skill instruction while building relationships with the players. This position you are a direct report to the MEGA lead instructors as well as a role model to our members.
Major Job Duties:
  • Responsible for assisting the lead coach on the ice.
  • Give proper and in-depth feedback and instruction to the players you are working with.
  • Ability to demonstrate drills or skills at the appropriate level.
  • Follow the specific practice plan to ensure that each focus during a practice is given enough time for the athlete to apply what has been taught.
  • Maintain the integrity of the program by providing a high level of coaching and skill development.
  • Ability to shoot the puck at the level of the player you are coaching.
  • Help with on ice setup and take down.
  • Must currently be able to work in the USA
