Position Summary:
Maintains cargo flow by preparing Customs entries, tracking inbound and outbound shipments, providing shipment and status updates, and preparing documentation for government agencies. Possesses knowledge of U.S. Customs, tariffs, classification codes, and export commodity control numbers. Issues billing invoices and follows up with receivables. Role could be performed by an employee with a minimum of an associate’s degree and at least two years of relevant experience.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Create and distribute pick lists for warehouse orders.
  • Coordinate shipments and select the most efficient shipping method.
  • Prepare shipping documents, including Bills of Lading, and provide paperwork to carriers.
  • Verify products, quantities, and condition before shipment.
  • Work with Customer Service to resolve missing or duplicate purchase orders.
  • Report shipping delays and transportation issues to carriers and management.
  • Maintain shipping records, forms, and office supplies.
  • Answer phones, assist customers, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Support cycle counts and annual physical inventory.
  • Read and interpret shipping documents, reports, and order information.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, vendors, and management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1–3 years of office, shipping, or receiving experience preferred (manufacturing experience a plus).
  • Available to work a full-time, on-site schedule, including occasional weekends and holidays.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and business software.
  • Good customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Must pass a physical exam and drug screening.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, squat, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work in hot and cold warehouse conditions while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE)
