Description:

Join a dynamic team at A&K Railroad Materials Inc. as a Logistics Coordinator in our Kansas City, Kansas office. With over 65 years of innovation and excellence in the rail manufacturing industry, we are experiencing exciting growth and expansion. As a company that values teamwork, progress, and collaboration, we’re seeking a dedicated self-starter to play a vital role in our logistics operations.

As a Logistics Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of our shipping and transportation processes, ensuring freight moves smoothly and efficiently. This role requires experience necessary to manage schedules, monitor shipments, and communicate effectively with drivers and vendors. You will oversee shipment tracking and provide updates to internal teams and customers, taking full ownership of shipments from start to finish. Working in our fast-paced environment means adapting to changing priorities while maintaining a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Requirements:

To thrive in this position, you must have at least one year of experience necessary in logistics dispatching. You’ll need to bring strong organizational and multitasking skills to the table, along with proficiency in transportation management software and GPS tracking systems. Familiarity with DOT regulations and transportation practices is essential. Clear communication, both written and verbal, will allow you to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders effectively. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and additional certification in logistics or transportation is a plus. Above all, we’re looking for a self starter who is motivated to deliver exceptional results every day.

At A&K Railroad Materials, our Logistics Coordinators are critical to ensuring our customers receive high-quality service and support. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by coordinating resources, optimizing routes, and addressing logistical challenges. We value individuals who can work well independently while fostering strong teamwork and morale.

You’ll enjoy a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, working from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM in a supportive, high-energy office environment. We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company matching, paid time off, holiday pay, company-paid life insurance, short-term disability, and tuition reimbursement.

If you’re ready to bring your logistics expertise to a growing company that values hard work and innovation, we want to hear from you! Apply today using our quick 3-minute application process, and we’ll reach out within 24-48 hours to discuss how you can make a difference as our next Logistics Coordinator.
