Glazing Saddles, Krispy Kreme
A cashier is on the front line of the Krispy Kreme doughnut experience--keeping the customers happy and the store running smoothly. You make the magic happen by taking dozen orders, making coffee and working the cash register--and all with a smile. This position requires a friendly, outgoing personality and the ability to multitask on busy days (and nights!)
Overview of Position: A Retail Cashier/Doughnut Decorator exceeds customer expectations by providing fast, genuinely friendly customer service and by ensuring doughnuts are fresh and meet company standards of “Freakin’ Awesome Doughnuts”. Experience isn’t necessary, but a great attitude and a smile are. If you are friendly, we can train you in our procedures and processes. They demonstrate competency in a variety of store practices and procedures and adhere rigorously to store standards. If you are high energy, clean and love to work in a teamwork environment this job may be a great fit for you. A commitment to teamwork, a clean and professional appearance, enthusiasm, and a high energy level are necessary throughout the shift.
Position Responsibilities:
• Greet customers as quickly as possible with a sincere smile and listen carefully to their needs.
• Maintain a pleasant and courteous demeanor.
• Fill customer orders quickly and accurately, including products, condiments, and change.
• Record customer product selections in the Point of Sale system efficiently and accurately.
• Follow all company established cash handling procedures including checks, cash, receipts, and credit cards.
• Inspect all doughnuts and remove any that are misshapen, too small, or otherwise imperfect. Be our last line of defense for Quality Assurance.
• Apply fillings, icings, and other toppings following Krispy Kreme product specifications.
• Stock and rotate product on carts, filling and icing hoppers and display cases to ensure freshness and proper appearance.
• Consistently model all store policies, standards, and practices.
• Fulfill wholesale orders by packaging, dating, and safety sealing the product.
• Be familiar with the operations of all front-of-the-house equipment. Espresso machine, coffee equipment, commercial oven, chiller machine.
• Bake assorted pastry items using a commercial oven.
• Work to minimize waste as much as possible.
• Help us raise funds thru our cause marketing efforts that help non-profit organizations.
• Learn and share key facts about Krispy Kreme and the Hot Light story to customers.
• Host birthday party events, family night activities, and conduct school Krispy Kreme factory tours.
• Practice "clean-as-you-go" techniques to maintain a clean work area. Everything we do is visible!
• Company provides uniform of 1-Cap, 1-Tee Shirt, and 1-Apron to an employee to be worn during shift. Employee must wear blue jeans (no holes, washout or rips) and black belt. Non-slip shoes must be worn at all times. Maintain a clean, neat Glazing Saddles issued uniform at all times.
• Exhibit suggestive selling behavior such as: additional dozens, up-selling larger sizes, special promotions.
• Thank customers for their purchase and encourage a return visit.
• Demonstrate safety consciousness always and report all incidents to a supervisor.
• Assist in maintaining a high level of store sanitation and cleanliness.
• Follow all Krispy Kreme standards for Food Safety Program and HACCP Plans.
• Report any equipment failure or issues to supervisor in a timely manner.
• Report suspicious employee/customer behavior to a supervisor.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
