From GLP-1 prescribing and metabolic health to diabetes, heart disease, and 25+ other conditions, Berry Street's clinical team delivers personalized, insurance-covered interventions that improve outcomes and reduce total cost of care. Berry Street works with leading health plans, health systems, and care management companies to serve diverse populations across all 50 states.
Since launching in January 2023, Berry Street has grown to over 1,500 providers and served tens of thousands of patients nationwide. We're a Series B company backed by leading investors including Northzone, Sofina, and FJ Labs, and notable angels including the founders of Revolut, Spring Health and Grow Therapy.
The Role
Berry Street has expanded into GLP-1 prescribing and is seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners with full, independent practice authority to join our growing prescriber network. You will provide telehealth clinical evaluations, prescribe and titrate GLP-1 medications for weight management patients, and collaborate with our RD team - all fully remote, on a schedule you control.
This role operates exclusively in states that grant NPs full independent practice and prescriptive authority without a collaborative practice agreement or physician supervision. Candidates must hold independent prescriptive authority in every state where they are licensed and intend to see Berry Street patients.
What You'll Do
  • Conduct synchronous telehealth evaluations for new GLP-1 patients, assessing eligibility, comorbidities, contraindications, and treatment goals per Berry Street's clinical protocol
  • Prescribe and titrate FDA-approved GLP-1 medications (Wegovy, Zepbound, Ozempic, Mounjaro, etc.) under your own independent prescriptive authority
  • Manage follow-up visits, dose titration, side effect counseling, and lab review through a mix of synchronous visits and async chart review, per applicable state law
  • Review Berry Street RD care summaries before prescribing encounters and reference documented lifestyle modification history in your clinical documentation
  • Sign Letters of Medical Necessity for prior authorization submissions
  • Respond to PA appeals requiring clinical input within 48 hours and support renewal PA documentation every 6-12 months
  • Participate in Medical Director-led clinical reviews, protocol updates, and quality improvement initiatives to continuously refine the prescribing experience
  • Maintain active licensure, independent prescriptive authority, and payer credentialing across contracted states
  • Participate in periodic chart audits and quality reviews led by the Medical Director

Requirements
  • Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license and current ANCC or AANP board certification (FNP, AGNP/AGPCNP, or equivalent population-focus certification appropriate for adult weight management)
  • Active licenses in states that grant fully autonomous practice and prescriptive authority, including: WA, AZ, OR, OK, UT, NV, IA, KS, ID, HI, NH, MT, RI, DE, SD, ND, AK, DC, WY
  • Active licenses in states that require physician supervision/collaboration, in particular: TX, CA, FL, IL, NY, NJ (highest demand markets for Berry Street)
  • Minimum 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience managing patients with obesity, metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, or related cardiometabolic conditions
  • Comfort practicing in a fully remote clinical environment with proficiency in EHR platforms
  • Authorized to work and physically based in the U.S.
  • Training or certification in obesity medicine (e.g., SCOPE, OMA coursework, ABOM-eligible training) is a plus
  • Prior telehealth prescribing experience in weight management or metabolic health is a plus
